Description
From across the Thames, Monet watched the Palace of Westminster emerge and dissolve in London’s celebrated fog. Painted during his campaigns in the city around 1900 and 1901, this canvas belongs to his great London series, in which the Gothic towers become a silhouette floating in coloured mist. The subject is less the building than the atmosphere itself; light, vapour and water woven into shimmering veils of violet, blue and burning gold.
Our reproduction is hand-painted in oils to order by a skilled studio artist, built in soft layers on artist-grade cotton canvas to hold that atmospheric glow. Choose your size and framing on this page. Every piece is made to order and ships free worldwide.
