Description
The Parc Monceau, an elegant public garden in Paris, gave Monet a corner of nature within the modern city, and he painted it in 1876 as a screen of trees dappled with sun. Figures stroll the lawns and paths beneath the foliage, half-dissolved in the shifting light. The picture is a pure exercise in atmosphere, the leaves and shadows set down in flickering touches that make the whole canvas breathe with a warm summer air.
Our version is hand-painted in oils to order by a trained studio artist, worked in layers on artist-grade cotton canvas to echo Monet’s dappled brushwork and colour. Select your size and framing on this page; each commission is made just for you and ships free worldwide.
