Monet at The Kreeger Museum
The Kreeger Museum in Washington, DC, occupies the former home of David and Carmen Kreeger. Completed in 1967, the residence was designed for art, music and family life, with a future museum also envisaged. The museum opened to the public in 1994.
Cliffs, a meadow and a garden
The references selected below include pale chalk cliffs, an open green meadow and a flowering garden beside a house. The Pointe du Petit Ailly in Gray Weather brings the cliff much closer, with a high, irregular edge above the shore. The Seine at Port-Villez, Pink Effect shifts attention to water and the opposite bank. The ornate frame visible in that reference photograph does not specify the frame supplied with a reproduction.
The museum’s architecture guide explains the building’s original uses and its planned future as a museum. Its institutional account gives the opening date. Open an individual product page to check the work, dimensions and offered presentations. Hand-painted oil paintings are our principal products; canvas prints are also available. 5 Monet works from The Kreeger Museum
Compare the low tree line in the meadow with the cliff face rising almost to the top of the Petit Ailly reference. Those compositions leave very different amounts of open sky. Check each work's proportions and the reproduction sizes offered on its product page.
